  1. User Interface got large

The User interface got large and many commands in the control bar have been hidden even if I set it on Small in the preferences!
I can't get the small interface that was in the previous version.

  2. menu size too small

The menu titles and every icon on indesign is far too small, could be that my laptop screen is high resolution so it thinks the screen is bigger than it is? it is frustratingly small.

We have released InDesign 2022(v17.0.0.96) with “Scalable user interface” feature. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

  3. I emphasize enough how much I dislike the new styling on the text/paragraph style dialogues

It is SOO much harder to select the paragraph (or whatever) style I need now. The key information in that dialogue is the style name, which I know you know because that's what you show when it's selected. But that style name isn't the most visible part of the drop-down. In my case, it's darn hard to see. This is slowing me way down and I'm feeling very grumpy about it.
I was also really irritated when the resize quick keys did a switcheroo here after 20+ years, but I can get over that. This one -though! Apologies for the…

    Hi,
This new menu you are seeing is only visible from the properties panel.
You can still see the list of paragraph styles from the Paragraph Styles menu (Type→Paragraph styles) in the same way as it used to be in previous years.
Please let us know if you still face the problem

    Thanks,
    Aman

  4. InDesign CC2018 is not compatible with Nvidia GPU anymore

With NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2 GB and MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3,
pictures in boxes are going to be greyed, when manipulate the border/box. They are also going to be greyed when moving the content. With CC2017 it works properly. I was in contact with a chat support person already, who can proof this.

    Hi ,

Can you please share screenshot for this issue. And , are you facing this issue for all the documents ?

  5. Command + option + drag no longer copies text box

Have used this feature for 20 years and now the double arrow indicating that a box is being copied shows up, but the text box is not actually copied--the box just moves.

This is working as it should – that is, duplicating the selected object.

Please update to the latest available version of InDesign (13.1) via Creative Cloud application. Before launching InDesign, delete the Application Preferences and Caches to ensure that any corrupt preferences are not causing this issue to happen.

Please let us know if you still experience this issue.

    Thanks,

  7. conflict of making your document smaller than your margins

    InDesign CC 2019 v. 14

The New ”New document” dialog box doesn't give any warning of the conflict of making your document smaller than your margins allow. It just changes the width and/or height back to what it was as a default if your margins are too large and does not warn the user about it.

And if the user fails to notice that the size switches back, it will create a document that’s not the size intended. User may not even realize what is it that went wrong.

In the Legacy New Document dialog box, when you click OK,…
