The fix for this issue is available in the latest update of InDesign version 15.0.3
Please update your InDesign application to this version to get the fix.

Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment Sharon Tehrani commentedExport to high-res PDF spins for hours, stuck at 90%. Happening with large file exports using InDesign CC 2020 on Windows and Mac. Can't close the background task so InDesign has to be quit using the task manager.

My issue was deleted and merged with this one. My problem is different. Export to PDF fails for large files only. It shows the status icon for hours and the background process never completes. I have to manually force quit ID 2020 and am unable to export to PDF for this file and many others using the same graphics. I've attached one here.
UPDATE - will not let me attach. Where can I email it to?
