34 votesThe fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2026(v21.0.1.006). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

In InDesign 2026, the green maximize button in macOS changed from Zoom to Full Screen (new, separate Desktop) when working with the Application Frame turned off. In InDesign 2025, it was great to click the maximize button and the window automatically resizes to fit between the tools and panels. In 2026 it opens in a whole new, separate desktop. Holding Option and clicking doesn't work. Again, I am using InDesign with the Application Frame disabled.

Thanks Sanyam! I can't get the pre-release build to show up in Adobe Creative Cloud. I have the Illustrator Pre-Release build, but the InDesign one won't show up. I followed the instructions on the Pre-Release web page, and tried signing out and in on the Creative Cloud app.
