    Ok, this button has been a bright, blue, eyesore long enough now. If users aren't painfully aware of it by now then annoying the rest of us with it isn't helping anyone.

    Adobe InDesign UI designers, please talk to your colleagues over at Photoshop and Illustrator about how they were able to offer users an option to make the Share button less obnoxious. You got this.

    Why do Illustrator and Photoshop allow us to make the Share button less IN MY FACE but not InDesign? Maybe Adobe can get their AI to do the difficult coding for them?

    We have made some Performance Improvements in the latest InDesign Release 2025 (Version 20.1), available via Creative Cloud Desktop application. This issue has also been fixed as part of performance improvements.

    Please let us know if you still face slowdown while doing basic operations in this latest InDesign release.

    Not so, you can add M4 Pro MacBook Pro and M1 Max Mac Studio to the list. AND the M4 MBP was a brand new computer with a brand new install of Adobe CC (with no extra software) and it still experienced the horrendous lag. I reported this to Adobe a few days after the release.

    5 years later… It's either a bug or Adobe doesn't care.

  6. Get the message "This file is already open by another user or application" when I try to open .indd files from the Recent section

    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.5.0.084). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.
