We have made some Performance Improvements in the latest InDesign Release 2025 (Version 20.1), available via Creative Cloud Desktop application. This issue has also been fixed as part of performance improvements.
Please let us know if you still face slowdown while doing basic operations in this latest InDesign release.

An error occurred while saving the comment Just was trying to replicate it, and it doesn't seem to be happening anymore - so I think it is fixed? yeah! (but in case you need the info: Sequoia 15.0.1 / on older documents created in Indesign 2024 / it was happening when trying to scroll through the document and also when I would double click on text to edit it) Thank you!
An error occurred while saving the comment Downloaded the new Indesign 2025 and noticed that it is delaying every time I go to select text or scroll to a different page.

Same issue. Here is my information:
Mac M1 chip
Sequoia 15.0.1
Happens in all documents. If I restart my laptop and trash preferences it seems to temporarily be better but then as I work the issue comes back. I notice it most when I try to scroll or edit text.
