    This issue is addressed with a new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" in Preferences > Composition dialog. This option is ON for new docs created in ID2023 and needs to be turned ON for docs created in older versions of InDesign when opened in ID2023.

    I raised this with Adobe back in November, I followed up with them last week. They said there's no progress they can share, but they do intend to create a fix. For the meantime I'm working in the previous 2019 version of ID as my styling in my catalogue can't be fixed (reasonably) with a work around such as removing the text wrap and manually adjusting the indent etc. This is extremely frustrating.
