    Hello All,

    Thank you for reporting the issue to us.
    We have fixed the issue in the latest version of InDesign, Id 14.0.3

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

    Double-clicking the .vbs file on my iMac opens Text Wrangler.
    Is there any other way to install ?

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.

    If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
    Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.

    If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

    Hi Abhinav, why is this taking so long to fix?
    It was a silly modification to begin with, but now it's a major user problem.
    I'm not sure who comes up with these plainly ridiculous updates.
    Can you not release a patch to address this one critical issue in a hurry ?
    It's months now - and still we all sit with the problem. I haven't come across one person who thought this was a good idea.

    Ravi - this needs a more urgent review. It needs a patch to offer the ability to permanently disable it.
    It's a massive problem for print workflows.
    Please urgently attend to it and have a patch released.

    Could we get a fix for this asap please ?
    It's affecting me a few times a day - and it seems like I'm not the only one.
    It should be viewed as a critical failure requiring immediate action.

    Definitely needs to be OFF by Default.
    No question.
    Or at least a preference for all documents.
    I have never needed the feature and probably never will - now it's just adding extra steps and messing with my otherwise smooth workflow.
    Terrible waste of time.

  4. Clicking document-installed font from font list gives error to "activate font" and doesn't change font.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while.
    This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
    Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

    A workaround would be to create a Paragraph Style.
    But it's not good as it is - a real puzzle.

    Agree with some other comments - frame strokes should be customisable, allowing different weights, styles and colours for each side (much the same as the corners can be different radii and styles).
    I understand there may be difficulties with multi-sided objects of more than 4 sides.
    But if it could be implemented for 3 or 4 sided frames that would be amazing - and it would allow for extended creative opportunities.
