So I opened InDesign and held down Control, Option, Command, Shift to trash all preferences and I can now export to the network!

Similar issue same versions. Only my InDesign acts like it exported the files but there are no files there. Exporting to desktop works fine.

    Hello,
Can you confirm the InDesign version you are using? Is it 2018.1 or 2018?
I assume the path to which you are trying to export the PNG is /Volumes/Shares/011 Changed Information/002 Changed Information/00617 Changed Information/Changed/ ?

Is this drive mounted via SMB?
    Is it a NAS server?

This just started for me as well. InDesign 16.0.1 on Catalina.
Could export any image type just fine until yesterday. Now it acts like it is exporting to the network drive (SMB connection) but there is no file. Exporting to desktop works fine.
