As confirmed by multiple users, this issue is fixed in latest version of InDesign.

    Thanks for your feedback.

The latest version 15.1.1 seems to have fixed the issue for me. I'm on an iMac running macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

However, once in a while, when I open a packaged file, sometimes InDesign doesn't load the fonts in the Document Fonts folder. But if I close the file and reopen it, it will fix the problem.

Indesign 15.0.2 on Mac OS 10.14.6 does not seem to want to "let go" of the fonts in the Document fonts folder in packaged document now upon closing a file.

Whenever I close out of a file, I copy the updated files/folder onto our documents server and then put that file in trashcan. But whenever I go back into InDesign for a different job, InDesign seems to pull that previously trashed folder back with only the Document fonts folder. If I quit InDesign and then trash the file, it stays in the trash.
