    InDesign 2020 includes a new text engine to support five new South East Asian languages: Thai, Burmese, Lao, Khmer, and Sinhala.
    Your documents can now include text composed in these languages.

    I would upvote this request, but it has been (incorrectly) marked as Completed.

    My organization needs literature translated into Burmese, but like those who commented before, the language is not appearing correctly, no matter what font I use.

    For anyone else with this issue, since this request has been marked complete and can't be upvoted, here's a similar issue that is currently open that can still be upvoted:

    Hopefully this is fixed soon!

    The issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021.
    Please update to this new version of InDesign to get the fix.
