    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while; we really appreciate your support!

    Our investigation suggests that one of common reasons for the problem is that certain software (mostly antivirus and other security applications) and browser extensions happen to enable “Secure Keyboard Entry” on Mac machines due to which some keys such as Shift key in this case do not perform the desired action in InDesign.

    For now I request you to follow the below provided KB doc for the quick workaround of the problem.

    In the comments section many of the users have confirmed that disabling Webroot SecureAnywhere (a security app) has resolved the issue for them. Please note that, the problem may not be related to a particular software; there could be a different application or antivirus which might be causing the problem by enabling Secure Keyboard Entry on Mac.

    UPDATE: It works now at my PC (14.0.1 - CC2019)

    Tried earlier versions where it always worked, but there it did not work also anymore. After that:

    1. Stopped InDesign
    2. Deleted all preferences of InDesign (<user>/library/Preferences/Adobe Indesign)
    3. Restarted InDesign (everything is at default now)

    Scaling does work now (proportionally) when pressing Cmd+Shift and moving corner of (group of) pictures.

    Does not work here either after update to 14.0.1 ! Same with pressing SHIFT key and move an item horizontal, that also does not work anymore. And no, I'm not using Webroot or anything like that.
    Workaround via Scale-tool ('S') as mentioned below is possible for proportional scaling (thanks!) but very annoying.
    Why is this??

    Issue is still seen in 'Immediate' Live Screen Drawing mode, when pressing alt in between the drag while copying to another spread

    Same with me. Since last update this does not work anymore like A LOT of key strokes. Scaling is also not working anymore with SHIFt key.

    PLEASE FIX!!!
