Hi,
We have been able to reproduce the issue and it is currently under investigation.—
Adobe InDesign Team
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis is MOST annoying. I have hundreds of cross-references, and they all get lost when I copy the file to a new location with a different directory structure. Surely this is something that "package files" should take care of, as it does with the location of the individual files in a "book".
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI agree. I had an exchange on the topic under "Cross-references lost when copying files " and we came to the same conclusion that this is a bug that needs attention.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI agree. This is most frustrating, especially when there are lots of cross-references.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYes, PLEASE fix this. It is annoying to archive files with cross-references and find that they are all lost when you try to open the book from a new location.

I have the same problem. The program does not show up as an option when choosing Default programs in Windows.
