We're happy to announce that the fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign - version 17.2 that is available from Creative Cloud Desktop application.
Please update to this latest InDesign version to get the fix.

Problem seems to be gone for me (MacBook Pro 15" Late 2015 with newest macOS Big Sur 11.4). :-)
I had no coloured blocks though but peculiar and unusable external display with shifted and covered contents…
