    A Burmese collaborator, Mr. Allen Lyan, and I have a contract with the Hong Kong University Press to publish our Burmese language textbook. Unfortunately, we have hit a big snag because the Press uses Adobe InDesign and when they make pdfs of our Microsoft Word files (entered in the unicode-compliant Noto Serif Myanmar font), several diacritics are incorrectly placed. This has caused great headaches and actually threatened to derail the whole project. Fortunately, Mr. Kenneth Wong of UC Berkeley has identified the source of the problem: namely, that Adobe ID can't handle unicode fonts in Burmese. It would be great if that situation could be ameliorated.
