An error occurred while saving the comment CJ Dunn commentedWhen using a variable font in InDesign, some glyphs collapse even when I use Type > Create Outlines, so it's not just a display issue. The same glyph in the same named instance displays correctly in browsers, Chrome and Safari, and other apps that support variable fonts, like FontView. (screenshots are attached)
Please fix this so that variable fonts display the same in InDesign as they do in other applications, thank you!

Hi, I emailed you on Apr 20, but the status of this hasn't changed so I'm posting the file here as well.
To reproduce the issue:
You can download Source Serif Pro here:
https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-serif-pro/releases/download/3.001R/source-serif-pro-3.001R.zip
and move the font file to your ~user/Library/Fonts/MyFontFolderName/ to install (eg: SourceSerifPro-Regular.otf )
Then move the font file, (eg: SourceSerifPro-Regular.otf) to a sub folder: ~user/Library/Fonts/MyFontFolderName/AnotherFolder/
InDesign will crash.
Hope that helps to identify the issue.
PS in addition to InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, I found out today this also crashes Bridge. So far haven't found a CC app that doesn't crash from this, so this is a big problem for me.
The case I showed above is simplified so you can easily reproduce. In practice this is happening for me often because I have script that generates a new version of my font and then installs the font by moving it to the "fonts" folder, and this will crash all open Adobe apps. Super frustrating when I'm trying to proof the latest version of fonts in Adobe apps. This didn't used to be a problem.
Please let me know if there's any other info you need from me, thanks.
