Please let us know if the below-mentioned workaround works for you:
- Try restarting your Windows machine.
- Use the “Restart” option and NOT “Shutdown”.—

Currently running InDesign 15.0 x64 on Windows 10 Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.476).

I upgraded to the new version of InDesign this morning and all of my INDD and IDML file icons have been replaced with blank, white, default icons. When I change the "Opens with:" to another software in Properties, that software's file icon pops up for the file just fine (this even works for older versions of InDesign). When I revert it to "Adobe InDesign 2020" it pops back to the default white icons.
So far I have tried restarting InDesign, restarting my computer, and rebuilding my icon cache in Windows 10. Nothing has worked.
All other file associations seem to work fine and my INDD and IDML files open just fine in InDesign and can be edited and saved. They just show with blank, default icons when I view them in the OS.
