    Hi Patrick,
We’re sorry to hear that the latest version of InDesign is not behaving as per your expectations.
You said that you are not using Content Aware Sizing. However, could you check once again to see if you have enabled the setting ‘Make Content-Aware Fit the default frame fitting option’ in the Preferences dialog (under General section)?
Also it would be helpful if you can show us a quick demo of the issue and/or share the file (along with the asset).

The "Make Content Aware fit the default frame fitting option" is not enabled currently in preferences.

I cannot recreate the bug right now.

Since creating the post, I have deleted all my Adobe preferences. This might have fixed the error I'm not sure. I'll let you know if it happens again.

Also, just noticed that if I have a frame and an asset inside that perfectly fits the frame, then I make a change to the asset and have to update it in Indesign, Indesign will sometimes just expand the asset beyond the frame again even though the original asset did not change size and its already at 100% in Indesign.

I don't see how a huge company like this has such terrible QA.
Seriously. Adobe needs competition. Every single year when a new version is released there are countless bugs that completely mess up regular usage of the products.
