    The fix for this issue is available in the latest InDesign 2026 release, version 21.6


    Please update your version of InDesign when this new release becomes available in your locale.

    Version 21.6 was available this morning (2026-09-15). We installed and tested it. No bug found. We lost dozens of hours with this bug, but it seems to be ok now.

    Same here. Same with my colleagues. Same with our vendors. We all had to downgrade.

    Windows 11. InDesign 21.5.1.

    We tested on a blank document. Happend only in the idml exported file. Happened only if some cells were merged in a table and the width of a column was different from the others.
