Try closing the document that shows the Background Tasks as queued. If the Auto-Activate Adobe Fonts option has been selected and you are connected to the internet, fonts in your document should get auto-activated.

I am having the same issue and cannot continue my work that must be delivered to students ASAP. This is a huge problem.
I have closed the program and restarted my computer multiple times. I still have the same issue. I need immediate assistance.
