    Fix for this issue is now available in the latest InDesign Release version 20.1 (Build 20.1.0.71), available via Creative Cloud Desktop application.


    Please update your InDesign application to this latest version to get the fix.

    I created a QR Code for a VCard: Andriod smartphones can read it and add to the contacts, whereas the iPhone standard camera can't read them.

    Are there more hidden items to add for making it work?
    (If it were to be a discriminating factor, the problem was found on Italian iPhones)
