Navigation Points have been re-introduced in the Media panel. This feature is available in the latest release of InDesign (version 16.0). Please use this release to use Navigation Points for Video/Audio files.

However, the Controller options will not be available. As communicated earlier, all options (Controller options being one of them) related to Flash/Flash player have been removed from InDesign as Flash Player is now being EOL’d (End of Life).

Yes, I agree with the chorus that is singing the need of the media control panel in Adobe Indesign's controller and navigation features. I work in the industry of technical writing and have used Adobe indesign to write user guides for clients. As I am updating guides to make the print media be more interactive it is sad to see that this basic control function is not present in the more up to date versions of InDesign. I have had to install a legacy version of the software to even be able to work with this but I know that at some point I will have to find another way or software to get what i need out of technical writing. In testing how well the media gets exported I see that Flash player will no longer be supported as of December 2020? How will this affect media that is imbedded in interactive PDFs? Please let me know! I need to find a solution if this will not allow videos to play beyond Dec 2020.
