   This looks more like a feature modification request.
   I am therefore moving this to the “Feature Request” section.

   Heya,

   This currently modifies LOCKED layers, which seems like a significant issue.

   Replication steps:

   - Make a new document
   - Add a second layer
   - Make two rectangles on layer one.
   - Group them
   - Move the group to layer two
   - Lock layer one
   - Ungroup the rectangles

   Expected result: Ungrouped rectangles either remain on layer 2, or a warning pops up about the locked layer.
   Current result: Ungrouped rectangles move to the locked layer 1, and become unselectable. Trying to continue editing the objects brings up the "layer is hidden or locked" dialog box.
