   The issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021.
   Please update to this new version of InDesign to get the fix.

   It seems like this has been solved now. It requires changing paragraph settings to "adobe world-ready paragraph composer" but it works as long as using a Unicode compliant font.

   Yes Agreed, it is not working, even though considered supported.
