   “Place Video from URL” option has been restored in the latest InDesign update – version 15.1.

   Please update InDesign to use the feature.

   Adobe, kindly reinstate this feature, with Justin's suggested improvement. I also suggest you include Justin (and members of these forums) in any such future decisions. That would help you reduce the chances of making such an obvious error of judgement in the future.
