THis must have happened in a very recent update. I noticed while trying to use the shortcust ALT+T>E>U to uppercase some text, as I have for years, only to be met with a warning chime and left with the Text menu hanging open. It apears that due to some sort of oversight, there are now mulltiple options in the same menu with the same selection letter.
This means that both Change Case and Insert Endnote rely on using ALT+T>E, so that InDesign doesn't know which one you mean and won#t then allow you to choose Upper Case, Lower Case or Sentence case as it alway previously has.
I note the same is true of D and N in the Text menu. I've not looked elsewhere yet, but I suspect no-one else has either. Could someone please assign these new shortcuts their own letter and let me get back to doing things the way I'm used to? Thanks.
