    “Place Video from URL” option has been restored in the latest InDesign update – version 15.1.

    Please update InDesign to use the feature.

    I think that now the option is restored. But yeah, it was very important option for a lot of people, including me and I'm glad they paid attention to it. It's the most important thing to always try to better your service for the people. That's also what we are doing with our new better project as well.
