    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2026(v21.0.1.006). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

    InDesign Team, I mirror the comments in this thread. Kindly post an update on the status of this issue. It's been more than 4 years now. I've tried everything and frankly am shocked that something so foundational (as Ian mentions below) could go years without so much as an update or a fix.
