These solutions do not work - the problem persists. Please find a solution - this problem severely affects my daily work.

Restarting inDesign and clearing the cache when opening has resolved the issue for me for now.
To do this, close inDesign, hold down shift+command+control+option, then click to open inDesign, while still holding down. Select yes at the window prompt, then open a document and test it out. You will lose your thumbnails to previous projects, and your workspace will default to Essentials (any saved workspaces will still be available). This has resolved the issue for me for now.
