   The ability to Hide Spreads in a document is now available in InDesign’s latest release 19.0. Please let us know your feedback in comments.

   It would be really helpful when designing alternate layouts, or managing spreads that might not make it to the final product.
   The alternative y saving different versions of the same document, which is cumbersome and implies that any further changes must be made again in each document.
