- Install the InDesign Beta app from the Beta section in the Creative Cloud Desktop (CCD) app.
- If you don't see the beta app, go to Help > Check for Updates or try logging out and back into the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Font menu
In earlier versions of InDesign the font menu was listed in alpha order (as it is now), but when searching for a font style it would pick up where you left off rather than going back to the beginning. For example, let's say I need to choose a font for a project. I scroll down and select Myriad for example. I try it but don't like it. I go back to the menu but now I'm back at the top (A) rather than at Myriad. I've already discarded A through M at this point, so it's a waste of time…

Automatic "Continued on Page X / Continued from Page Y"
Feature that A built-in feature that automatically inserts and updates "Continued on Page X" / "From Page Y" between linked text frames would greatly improve workflow efficiency for multi-page layouts. While Cross-References help with linking page numbers, they require manual setup and sometimes fail to update when text reflows.
This feature would be especially useful for newspapers, magazines, and books, where text frequently flows across pages.9 votes -
PDF won't open with InDesign (Beta)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Opened InDesign Beta
2. Clicked File > Open
3. Selected PDF file created with InDesign
4. File doesn't open, nothing happens
Result: Nothing happened
Expected: File should open, it's the whole reason I downloaded the Beta
System info
Application: InDesign v19.4.0.59

PDF to InDesign makes text fragments
Instead of multitudes of text fragments, this new feature should join them back into columns of text and also discern paragraph and character styles from the text. Millions of fragments of text individual words is not helpful.

MathML scaling
HOORAY, the MathML is here! But...
There's imho no reason to set the font height and then enable scale the result frame. Please think about possibility to set/show result strictly in 100% size.
MathML implementation in InDesign is a basic thing I need and appreciate.
Please don't stop working on it.

Modern Data Merge Source File
I have lot's of use cases in which a CSV file isn't enough as a source file (for example, if having columns with multiple line entries)
it would be a tremendous help, if there would be an option for having JSON as a source file or something similar which doesn't break as easily if there is a single line break

InDesign to Adobe Express
Convert your Indesign file to Adobe Express.
I often make web banners in Indesign, as I need to provide multiple sizes and shapes for many many trade customers. A master is made in Photoshop ; this then gets broken down into a series of links and recreated in InDesign as processing this in InDesign would be much quicker than Photoshop. This InDesign file will then have all of my banner sizes within it and I copy it from page to page adjusting the elements as I go....
It would be handy if this 'page to page adjusting' could be transposed…

InDesign Cloud SHARING Could be a Game Changer if it is Fully Collaborative!
Can multiple users work on the same document? I frequently work on large, multi-page documents with other designers. It would be amazing if we could all be in the same file at once (like a Google doc) and manage all of the changes.
This would be the most useful feature ever added to InDesign for me!
How does sharing work in the Beta? THANKS!

Search feature need updating
I want to find a certain word and add an effect to it. For example, let's say I want to find all date "th" in my document and then have it subscripted using the find and research function. The case sensitivity is not enough, and I don't want to have to use character styles to go through the document piece by piece to correct how the "th" should appear after a date.

Click and drag to select with select tool not working
when using the selection tool, I no longer can click and drag to select multiple objects like images, shapes and text, I have to click each individual one. This is the case both in Indesign beta and Indesign 2025

Group and wrap unexpexcted
Overnight, objects were suddenly grouped and had wraps tied to them. Caused me 2 hours to ungroup, unwrap. and then put type, within the object back to color.

PDF to InDesign conversion issues
Found the issues listed below when PDF attached was converted using InDesign Beta 2025. The file is an Adobe PDF (Print) exported from InDesign before trying to convert as well.
- Files do not maintain size and bleed settings
- Some vector objects within file were completely removed
- Tables and text frames do not convert accurately
- All character, paragraph & table styles did not carry over
Is there a way add a "Preserve InDesign Editing Capabilities" checkbox in the Export Adobe PDF window of InDesign? Similar to how Illustrator has a "Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities" checkbox in the Save Adobe PDF window.

Just as you offer the option of image generation, it would be helpful if there would be an in-app option to generate text similar to claude or gpt systems.

Impossible to collaborate
Its totally impossible to work with. We have now tried to collaborate one mounth. Is a period of **** with Adobe support, copys, sync problems, damaged files, waiting. No controll.

Improve Reviewing Previous Versions Experience
Right now, reviewing previous versions of an INDDC file is difficult. I can only see the first page of different versions. My first page is a cover image. It hasn't changed. I want to be able to scroll through the entire document to compare changes. I'd also like to save a previous version as a different file to keep both if needed.
