How can we improve InDesign (Beta)?

Modern Data Merge Source File

I have lot's of use cases in which a CSV file isn't enough as a source file (for example, if having columns with multiple line entries)

it would be a tremendous help, if there would be an option for having JSON as a source file or something similar which doesn't break as easily if there is a single line break

    It’s not exactly JSON, but it supports XLS/XLSX, CSV, and TXT files.

    It includes live data preview, the ability to update changes from XLS back into InDesign, more robust multiple-records-per-page handling, and many more features.

    It’s still in beta and completely free, so feel free to check it out.
