It is common for me to author long-form documents with complex design formats that require footnotes, not endnotes. Problems I confront as a designer are requested addition/removal of paragraphs within the document body and footnote sections, resulting in reflowed pagination. Pages that have more complex page layouts require unlinked text frames during the ideation phase, and when linked later, create extensive text frame thread rework despite use of BreakTextThread or BreakFrame scripts. To have linked text frames throughout the report is not realistic, especially for deadline driven projects with multiple content creators. In addition, we need solutions that can be remediated in Adobe Acrobat Pro without manual coding. Please address.
