This has been happening to me since a January Windows update. The Windows update has to be uninstalled and then InDesign will work fine. Unfortunately, my organization has updates automatically install and my IT team has to log in nearly every day to uninstall this update. Adobe please work with Microsoft to understand and correct this error.
