    I know some might say that the image needs to "live" somewhere on the computer in order for it to be referenced in Indesign. So in that case. Why not just set it up so when an image is dragged and dropped into Indesign, there is a folder automatically created where all the back end images can live? It can be under an Adobe Indesign folder structure, or wherever the Indesign file is currently saved for example. Or that folder can be generated in the Adobe Cloud.
