Unless you drag the tab in a PERFECTLY STRAIGHT LINE, it is not possible to simply drag and drop a tab into a new position. If you stray even the slightest, but end up with the cursor in the correct position, the tab automatically becomes the last tab. The same happens when trying to add a tab from another window.
And you have to try again. The easiest way to reduce the likelihood of this happening is to move the tab just one space at a time.
It's a speed bump, it happens multiple times a day, and it's maddening. Please look into a solution. Thx.
