At this point it is not even possible to install InDesign CS6 on a current MacOS and InDesign CS6 crashes all the time on an earlier MacOS installed on a virtual machine. Besides, those are old technologies with many known flaws. The only secure thing is for the owner of the file format, that is Adobe, to create an up to date converter and provide it to those who license Creative Suite. Isn't that their justification for renting their software instead of selling it? Keep everyone up to date with access to all of their Adobe software created files?
