We completed the investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue has been resolved in the most recent release of InDesign (Refer to InDesign Release notes), the issue was intermittent at the time of reporting and is no longer reproducible, or the InDesign version mentioned in the report is no longer covered by Creative Cloud Support Policy.
We would recommend you upgrade to the latest version as it is more robust. Refer to Share InDesign documents for review to easily share your InDesign documents with collaborators for feedback and review. If you are still facing this issue even after updating it Contact Adobe support.

I am having this same issue, but just for one specific file in my book. I can update the links for all the other files, but trying to update the share for review link for this file crashes InDesign EVERY TIME. As others have mentioned, I was able to update the link many times before (it was the first file I created in the book) but one day it just stopped letting me and now crashes the program. This feature is really great when it works, but I can't believe an established company such as Adobe would release (and heavily promote) a feature that doesn't work properly. I hope they figure this out soon, because it's insanely annoying! Signing out of Creative Cloud every time an error occurs is also a massive inconvenience since it takes awhile for all of my content to resync, which is time I'm losing to work on this project.
