Three years and this still hasn't been implemented? Who on earth thought closing a Book was the right thing to do when the last open file is closed???? There's a Close Book Documents command in the Book Panel that shuts down the panel as well and leaves error messages by the files in the panel when you can ever figure out how to get the Books panel open again. Closing a document that's in a book without the Book panel open still leaves a completely useless and unnecessary error flag by the filename. That's been an issue since CS6 and nobody has addressed it. Is anybody doing any usability testing with your sinking ship applications??? HINT: Nobody really wants the incomprehensible startup screen interface. If we're capable of using a complex application like InDesign, we can certainly find our files on our own.
