    I'm editing an eighteenth century book, adding annotations as footnotes. But the original author ALSO had footnotes. So a second footnote style, one for me, one for the author, is vital. I could insert the original footnotes as a text box I suppose, but it may be difficult to keep that box on the same page if any reformatting occurs.
