    I've got the same problem. I have an auto-sized (width only) text frame on a master page. Within is a Text Variable (File Name) and it is rendered as an abstract blob of compressed letter shapes on both the master and print page.

  2. Allow InCopy to be edited remotely by 3rd Parties (eg clients)

    I second this. A single local file that can be seen and edited by the editors but that can also be read by a formatted Indesign document (like a continually refreshing link) which can keep formatting on the designer side and content on the editor's.
