This feature was removed way back in CS4, but it is something that would greatly simplify my workflow. We often need to get graphics out of InDesign and into PowerPoint. For now, the easiest method is exporting a PNG, but that's a bitmap, not editable, and only scalable to a certain point unless you pump up the DPI. The other option is to force it through Illustrator. Either by manually copying to Illustrator, then saving an SVG from there or by using a script that does that for you. Either way, the additional steps seem unnecessary, as InDesign was once able to do this.
