Product: Adobe InDesign 20.5.0 Beta

Platform: Chrome browser, Windows 10 (22H2)

Accounts: One Adobe CC account + one free Adobe account

Description:
I tried using the new online editing feature, but the steps in Adobe’s help page don’t work as expected. The file only saves as INDDC, and the collaborator cannot edit—it’s view-only.

Steps to Reproduce:
Open InDesign Beta 20.5.0
Create a new document → Share for text editing
Save to Creative Cloud and invite collaborator (free account)
Open the edit link in Chrome with the collaborator account

Expected Result:
File can be saved as INDDL (co-editable format)
Collaborator sees the web editor with full editing functionality

Actual Result:
Only INDDC format is available (in fact no choice is possible but the result is alwys inddc)
Collaborator sees view-only mode, no editing options
