YES. Because on our network linking to high-res images bogs down the document to the point where it's almost unusable, we work with documents linked to low-res JPG images until it comes time to create printable output. Then we relink to high-res PSD images in a different folder.
The ability to link to a DIFFERENT EXTENSION using Relink to Folder would solve the problem except... all our high-res images are (by necessity at this time) in individual subfolders. :(
