    I have this same problem, where there is a second or two of lag after I double click to text box to edit the contents—afterwards I'm free to choose between text boxes no problem. So, let's say I'm done editing. I begin a new edit of a text box (double click text box) and I am met with another 1-2 second lag period before I'm free to edit.

    -This happens even when I do a new blank document without any text.
    -I have an i9-10850K CPU, ROG STRIX z490 MOBO, and NVIDIA RTX 3080—decent computer hardware.
    -Adobe 17.4 / Windows 64 bit
    -No apps or major background tasks while this happens.

    It's minor, but semi-frustrating—to the point I feel like writing a post about it. If this is not a bug, any information on how to fix would be a big help.
