    I found a "hack" for this request, but you need a logitec MX Master 3 mouse or something similar that allows you to set the buttons in a custom fashion for different apps. I assigned one of the scroll wheels to "Zoom" when using InDesign and now when I am in presentation mode I am able to zoom in and out on the document I'm viewing. Just found it out today so pretty happy! Good luck. You need to install Logi Options and I'm on a 3-year old iMac.
