    The new font-solution ended up even worse on my Mac MBP.

    For me, when I open any new or old documents in a packaged folder with fonts in it – Indesign just hangs, possibly indefinitely searching for Library fonts? It does not even matter if all the included fonts are already installed locally, if there is a Font-folder present. It also does not matter that I have deactivated Adobe fonts in the Adobe Cloud settings – I get the spinning wheel for 10-40 seconds after each mouse-click or even if I just move the cursor. Have to remove the Fonts folder and manually replace all fonts.
