InDesign (Beta) for InDesign cloud documents.

InDesign cloud documents are Adobe's cloud-native document file type that can be accessed online or offline directly from within the InDesign application. You can access these cloud documents across devices while your edits are automatically saved on the cloud.

Installation:
Beta version can be installed directly from Creative Cloud (CCD) app, from Beta Apps section.

Note:
This is a geographically limited rollout. The InDesign Beta build is only available to users in the UK, US, Australia, and Canada at this time.
If you do not see the beta update in Beta Apps section in CCD app, go to Help>Check for Updates. If you are still not able to see the update, try logging out and logging back into Creative Cloud Desktop app.

  1. I cannot share an .indd document with another team member. It says Administrators always have access. But they don't have access.

  3. Shared Documents - Make Available Offline Always

    For documents I create and that appear under the "Your Files" section, I see that I can choose the "Make Available Offline Always" option. However, for documents that have been shared with me and appear under "Shared With You," I don't see this option.

    Will this option be available for shared documents in the near-future?

    It's a critical need for my team since our workflow sometimes includes starting a project that has to be handed off to someone else for completion. Having the ability to work offline as the starting lead OR as the finishing lead ensures we can safely…

  4. Bring AutoSave Interval to Preferences

    v. 18.9

    Now we have cloud saving, please can you return the option to change autosaving internal back to preferences - as I believe it is currently missing.

  6. 'Use Spacing' *STILL* not working for multiple pages using Page Tool

    1. Indesign Beta v 18.9
    2. Turn off Facing pages and deselect 'Allow pages to shuffle'

    • create multiple pages and then 'attach' one to another, by clicking and dragging a page alongside another in the pages panel, until you see the grey 'hook' then release it, so they stick together.

    • Now select multiple pages using the Page tool and the 'Use Spacing' option appears at the top. Type in a number, say, 50mm

    1. Expected result: All pages move 50mm away from each other, and you should be able to attach as many pages together as required for the task

  7. Quick Action 'edit with' not working with creative cloud files

    Normally I can quickly edit the placed PSD-files in Photoshop with option-click. But with the PSDC-files this option no longer works. From the Quick Options menu there are no apps under the 'edit with' menu. If the files are on the computer, it works fine.
    Will this option also be available for PSD files that are in the Creative Cloud?
