CC2019 when Exporting to PDF does not remember the filename you have given it
When exporting a PDF, InDesign normally remembers the name you have previously given the PDF you are exporting - CC2019 does not.
Example: you have an InDesign document named 'Hello'. You go to export it and InDesign automatically gives it the exported PDF name 'Hello.pdf' in the 'Save As' window as expected, but you rename it 'Goodbye.pdf' instead. If you ever want to export it again InDesign CC2019 no longer remembers 'Goodbye.pdf' as previous versions of InDesign, but reverts back to 'Hello.pdf' - so you have to rename it each time.
(InDesign CC2019 14.0.1 / Mac running OS X Mojave)6 votesIn the Export dialog, there is an option at the bottom called “Use InDesign Document Name as the Output Filename.” You can uncheck that option to remember the output filename you have given instead of InDesign defaulting to the document name.
Hope this helps.
