  1. [ID-4256547] InDesign 2025 Won't Lock "Constrain Proportions"

    When creating a frame, rectangle, any object, or selecting any other object, InDesign 2025 will not keep Constrain Proportions locked when the lock icon is clicked on the control bar.

    The user now has to click it while they select each object and want to scale an object by scaling either the width or height.

    I didn't notice this at first, but found out from a Reddit post.

  3. Selecting object defining box appears only after leaving area

    Since 2025 installed and object or text box, once selected, does not show selected until mouse is moved away from selected area.

    This is not the case in 2024 application.

  4. Reveal in Bridge not works

    In the image context menu, bridge preview does not work if the image name contains apostrophe characters.
    Bridge will not show a file with this name: abc '123' name.jpg
    and if there are no apostrophe characters it works (abc 123 name.jpg)

  6. [ID-4263516] InDesign shows any graphic card in case machine has more than 1 graphic card

    Video card not recognized
    I have an RTX a1000 video card, and InDesign does not recognize it, even though it is supposed to support the new InDesign GPU according to the data

  7. text won't appear over a pdf or imported image

    when i import an image or a pdf, any text that i try to have over it (such as putting a page number in the corner of the page) disappears. it's not that the text doesn't appear when the imported file isn't there, just that it is disappearing as it goes "beneath" the image or pdf. sending the imported file to back or the text to front does nothing.

  8. image box not working

    When drawing image frame, the option to link an image no longer appears. Can only insert images in the document by using Place option from menu drop down. There should be a button that shows when I draw an image box that gives me option to link in a image from files- a new image or relink an image. Neither of these is available.

  9. Drawing glitches when placing transparent PNGs in RGB documents on monitors with specific color profiles

    Applicable to Any Version of Mac/InDesign

    When using an EIZO color management monitor with a profile created by ColorNavigator where "Reflect Black Level in Tone Curve" is enabled, placing a transparent PNG into an RGB document causes severe drawing issues, rendering the document almost unusable.

    This issue occurs only when GPU rendering is enabled and does not happen with CPU rendering. Additionally, it does not occur when placing a transparent PNG in a CMYK document.

    Even under the same conditions, this issue does not occur in Photoshop or Illustrator, only in InDesign.

    seit gefühlten einhundert Jahren. Im Ps kann man das unter dem Befehl namens
    „Liste der letzten Dateien löschen“ tun, in Ai dann wieder nicht.

    Am besten wäre es, wenn man diese Vorschauen auch einzeln löschen könnte
    und nicht immer nur alle gleichzeitig: Weil man manchmal etwas weg
    haben will und anderes zum erneuten Öffnen in der Vorschau behalten möchte.

  12. Vector graphics distorted and broken - Cause unkown

    I don't know what prior action or command let to this bug but almost all my Vector graphics were suddenly distorted and broken. Some Small circles changed size and I couldn't scale in down anymore. See pictures. Exportet pdf files show the same distorted graphics.

    Adobe Indesign 2025 on a MacBook Pro 2021, Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB macOS Sonoma 14.1.2.

  13. Brush Strokes

    Strokes should be more variable, like in Illustrator. I miss brush strokes. I'd like to create some stroke styles myself. For some Corporate Designs it is crucial to have.

  14. Display issue in Normal View

    1) InDesign 2023 18.5.3, Sequoia 15.2, iMac Apple M1
    2) Going from Preview mode to Normal mode
    3) I expect to see my Normal mode correctly
    4) See attached files

    These are different files over 6 months. They are not supposed to have big color frames like that. Display is OK in preview, not in normal mode.
    Going back and forth between the two does not resolve this.
    I have to change page and sometimes it's ok. Sometimes I have to close the file and open it back.

  15. after cmd+D manually drawn frame does not match the placed image

    If I place an image with cmd+D and then draw the frame manually with the mouse, the frame always has the same aspect ratio (3 to 4 landscape) and if I want to place an image in portrait format, the frame does not match the content. So far, this has always been the case without any extra setting or key combination. But now since a few days I can't achieve this again with any setting.

    ChatGPT advises me to select ‘Fit frame to content’ in the frame fitting options or in the presettings, but this is no longer available for…

  16. anchored width and height gets loose

    The anchor between the element width and height in the top menu switches to un-anchored directly after unselecting an element or at selecting another element.

  17. Enable subfolder searching for missing links

    Enable subfolder searching for missing links

    Please implement an option for InDesign to automatically search subfolders when trying to relink missing files. Currently, when linked files are reorganized into subfolders, InDesign requires manual navigation to reconnect them, even when they're in obvious locations relative to the original path. A smart subfolder search would save significant time when managing complex projects with many linked assets and reduce frustration during file organization changes.

  18. Continuous numbering

    There should be a function that allows you to decide if you want continuous caption numbering throughout the document (also if a the frame of a page has no frame linked. It is so annoying to have all the time the numbers wrong.

    There is a feature that I have been missing in InDesign for years, but which is/was realised in Adobe XD, for example: Live Gaussian Blur (see screenshot). There you could assign this to an object as a property: ‘Blur background’, set parameters and you're done! In InDesign, this can only be achieved by tedious workarounds ...

  20. V 20.0 Bugs

    Text box content disappearing. Only will reappear after box is moved or typed in. Some content may appear and some will not be visible until box is moved again. This happens often when typing or deleting text.
    Also, now I only have 2 undos. History only shows two items.
    Just updated to 20.0 and these issues occurred right after. Please fix!
