Bug: Cross-ref tooltip changes arbitrarily
Windows 10, Indesign 17.1
What happens: when checking cross-refs for pointing to other documents only the tooltip can help. The video shows that the cross-refs are pointing to level 3 or level 4 headlines, but only with the level 4 headline it would show on what page the cross-ref is placed. With level 3 it just shows the cross-ref text.1 vote -
Adobe InDesign published document
When viewing a document for review, if you scroll too quickly and then reverse the direction of the scroll, it can get caught into a scrolling loop that I cannot stop. It scrolls up and down incredibly quickly on it's own. I have to exit the document and then come back in. Happens in Chrome and Firefox.

Find/Replace: Doesn't find the text size format after a transformation
InDesign 17.2 Win10 x64
- Type text with size 7pt
- Transform the text frame to 80%
- Textsize is now 5,6 pt
- Try to find the Text with find/replace and "find format" - size 5,6 pt - it doesn't work
But it works with a text size of 8 pt (transform to 6,4pt)

Please fixz Indesign so that the font (Source sans pro) has all options. It changes itself to Source sans Pro (OTF) and then has only light
Fonts missing in Indesign but they work OK in Illustrator and in Affinity Designer. If I drop down the menu every time to more fonts they seem to appear for that instance.

Auto-fit label confusing
The "Auto-fit" option to keep an image's fitting method and cropping position active (as far as possible) while scaling the frame, can be confusing.
Since the implementation of it, many users are not aware of what it does, because they assume it DOES something (make it fit automatically, right now) in stead of that it will RETAIN its current crop and fit. Especially in Dutch, where it is translated as "Make it fit", which is even more misleading.
So when explaining what it actually does to many users (as a trainer, presenter) they always sigh...
Please use a more clarifying…

Control Panel missing fields for Type
Updated to InDesign 17.2 and noticed that some of the fields to the right in the Control Panel are missing for type. Using 27-inch monitor in full screen mode. If take out of full screen mode and move my window way over to the left off screen, and pull the Control panel out, then I see the fields. They used to fit.

Backgroundtask keep spinning while not active
For several versions, the blue backgroundtask circle keeps spinning forever, even when no tasks are running.

inDesign creates an invalid href for an Archive.org link
When InDesign creates the href for a link from Archive.org it does not href to archive.org, but to the dead link.
example:
https://web.archive.org/web/20220320173121/https://freewheelingeasy.com/
creates the href for "https://freewheelingeasy.com/"

InDesign 17.2 Export XML crashes
Adobe InDesign 17.2.0.20
macOS 12.3.1Upon exporting XML from an InDesign file, InDesign crashes. This does not happen with Adobe InDesign 17.1.0.50.
Please see attached crash logs and error messages received from InDesign.

enorme problème d'affichage dès que je scrolle ou zoome
J'ai un énorme problème d'affichage depuis quelques temps, lorsque je scrolle mes pages sont illisibles, comme si il manquait des morceaux comme si elles s'auto-aspiraient par leur centre... ça se décale par le bord et le milieu.
ca m'est devenu très difficile de travailler, je ne sais pas comment faire.

windows are bigger in 17.2. resizing documents behaving badly!

I've just installed 17.2. All my windows and pallets are suddenly bigger and when I want to grab a document in the bottom right corner to resize, the document becomes even bigger at first!is there a way to go back to my previous version? PLEASE?

Having lots of issues since the latest update (17.2) with the character box.
When I highlight my text it won't allow me to click the dropdown to change the font or the tracking.
If I click on the 'tracking' field, I can type the number in manually but I can't see it. I also cannot click the up and down buttons to change it that way.

Can't open a new or old file in InDesign.
It's just a grey background. Can't open a file, new or old, in InDesign.

Bug fenêtres d'outils
Avec cette version InDesign 17.2 (Mac OS Monterey 12.2.1) les fenêtres « Alignement » et « Caractère » restent désespérément vides, leurs outils ont disparu !
